Why am I itching so bad?

In the morning I the shaft of my itches so bad that I can't get back to sleep. This just recently started happening a couple of days ago. I did have scabies a few months back but this is different. When I had scabies I itched at night not in the morning and I also itched all over. This is just concentrated on my . I am not ually active although I did have yesterday so I know it can't really be that. Anyone know anything about this so I don't have to waste a trip to the derm?
