Good news for tigers(Panthera tigris)?

It is good news, but my concern is whether academic conventions, and for that matter governments, really possess the means or the resolve to reduce the market for the tiger trade, or to take sufficient action against the poachers themselves. There has been progress made, but the tiger population is still declining, and I hope that this statement by the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies transpires to be something more than just words.
