Bible verse to put in condolence card?

My boyfriend's uncle ped away a few days ago and I wanted to send a sympathy basket with a message to his mother. She's very religious and I need to make sure it is appropriate and meaningful especially since I have yet to meet her. So I need a biblical verse to include with the gift that's going to convey my sympathy.
